Why I’m Voting for Ethan Plato for SFUO President - A Brief PSA!
If we want to address the problems that we’ve been having with the SFUO, we need change. We need to put someone at the helm of that organization who believes in transparency and openness. We need someone who has seen things from the side of the fed bodies, who understands our issues, and who will be willing to fight for us, not against us. We need someone with the drive and experience to protect us even if the fed executive is divided, and who knows the issues well enough to act on them accordingly. We need someone who will stop unfair practices like hiring friends instead of qualified candidates for student jobs, and work to make the SFUO a legitimate, functional part of the student community on campus.
We aren’t defederated, so we need to remember that we are still SFUO members, and it’s our responsibility to choose someone who is going to be the best possible leader for that organization. We can either vote to keep trying to push over a brick wall like we have been all year, or we can vote for someone who is ready to work with us and start moving forward. That’s why I voted for Ethan Plato.
